About Us!
Hello fiber lovers! My name is Terri Schaefer, the owner of Shepherd's Wool! With my love for fiber arts, it became a natural direction for me to start a business with wool.
Shepherd's Wool was established in 2005 when I opened a brick & mortar store in downtown St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. As my business grew, I found that many people still had a hard time finding quality wool fabric & supplies for their projects. With that in mind, I began vending at fiber festivals & quilt shows, bringing my shop (Wool on Wheels) to them. It became more apparent that I could reach more people at these events & selling on-line, than my storefront ever could! This is when I decided to close the storefront shop and continue as an on-line business, while still vending at events & teaching fiber arts throughout the United States & Canada.
I have been rug hooking, rug braiding & teaching fiber arts for 20+ years. I am a McGown Certified Rug Hooking Instructor, my work has been published in "Celebrations", along with being displayed at the Wisconsin Quilt & Textile Museum. I also enjoy combining various fiber arts in a given pattern so don't be surprised to see this in some of my pieces. I love teaching fiber arts, so if you have a group of 10 or more people that would like to learn a specific technique, or try a new project, please feel free to email me for information.
Shepherd's Wool prides itself on offering quality wool, patterns & supplies while providing great customer service!
