WELCOME "2025"
Has it been almost a year already? March will mark the first anniversary that Shepherd’s Wool has been in business. To celebrate this occasion, Shepherd’s Wool will have some prize giveaways in the store on March 14th & 15th, so stop by and sign up for the drawings.
Have you taken a class at Shepherd’s Wool and could you use some extra help with your project? No worries, just phone the store first to make sure Terri is available on the day you wish to come by for help.
Have you seen our hand dyed, wool roving by Malabrigo? It’s safely tucked away in our vault. Great to use for needle felting & spinners are raving about it!
NEW PATTERNS!
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with these new patterns!
Rug Hooking Pattern, “Heartfelt Bouquet” by Shepherd’s Wool. You can either hook this in the shape of a heart or as a square. A limited supply of wooden heart frames is available at Shepherd’s Wool to frame this pattern.
“Broken Heart” Rug Hooking Pattern, by Shepherd’s Wool. This is a great way to use up some of your leftover wool strips. The pattern is hooked in a heart shape, then sew a piece of wool fabric to the back, stuff and you have a cute pillow!
Wool Applique Pattern, “To My Valentine” by Granny’s Legacy. This fun, wool applique pattern uses a blanket, chain, fern and running stitch along with glass seed beads. Not sure how to do these stitches? Pick up a copy of “Hand Embroidery-Stitches at a Glance” reference guide at Shepherd’s Wool. Wool packs are also available and include the beads!
Bring on the luck of the Irish!
Just arrived at Shepherd’s Wool, “Lucky O’Greene” cross stitch pattern by Notforgotten Farm and “Delivering Luck” cross stitch pattern by designer Sandra Sullivan. These are too cute to pass up!
WHAT'S NEXT? Look for more information in the next in the next newsletter on an upcoming Rug Hooking workshop that will be held in November, at Shepherd’s Wool, by guest instructor, Susan Jankowski. She will be teaching her Wild Door County pattern and how to shade and hook this project using dip dyed wool. You won’t want to miss this one!
